What is included in residential landscape maintenance?
The weekly visit covers the grass and the edges: mowing, string trimming around beds, fences, and posts, and blowing the clippings off the drive and the walks. Around that, the landscape beds get worked on a rotation, with weeding, edging, and shrub trimming so the front of the house keeps looking sharp instead of slowly going wild. Fertilizer and weed control programs, aeration, and spring and fall clean ups round it out. Working with one landscaper in Posen for all of it means nobody is pointing fingers about whose job the beds were.
How do you keep landscape beds looking clean?
Two things do most of the work: a crisp edge and the right depth of mulch. A cut edge between the lawn and the bed is what makes a yard read as maintained from the street, and mulch on top keeps moisture in and weeds down. University of Illinois Extension covers the basics well in its guide to edging and mulching landscape beds, including how deep to go, since piling it too thick does more harm than good. We re-cut edges, pull weeds, and keep the mulch at a sensible depth rather than burying your shrubs every spring.

Yes, for customers already on our weekly route. Beyond the mowing we refresh mulch and stone, plant shrubs and perennials, patch in sod, repair edging, and change out seasonal color. These are add-ons to maintenance rather than standalone projects, because we are not a design and build company. Most customers do one of them in spring, then the weekly visits keep it looking that way. The same add-ons work at scale for landlords and boards. If you look after a building or a group of units rather than a single house, our multi-family landscaping service runs those grounds on the same weekly footing.
Which towns do you cover for residential work?
We primarily service the southwest suburbs. That includes Orland Park, Tinley Park, Mokena, Frankfort, Oak Forest, Oak Lawn, Alsip, Crestwood, Blue Island, Midlothian, and Palos Heights, plus the Mount Greenwood and Beverly neighborhoods in Chicago. Routes are built by area so a crew works a whole neighborhood in a day, which is how we keep the schedule tight and the pricing reasonable. Do you do one-time yard cleanups?
Our main business is weekly maintenance, so that is where we do our best work. We do handle spring and fall clean ups, and we are happy to talk through what your yard needs on a call.
How much does residential landscaping cost?
It comes down to the size of the yard and how much bed and shrub work it has. Estimates are free with no obligation. We look at the property and give you a straight number.
Do you do landscape design or patios?
No. We are a weekly landscape maintenance company, not a design and build outfit. What we do well is keeping a property looking cared for week after week through the season.
Can I get mowing only instead of full service?
Yes. Plenty of customers start with weekly mowing, then add bed care, trimming, or fertilizing later. Tell the office what you want covered and we will build the estimate around it.
When does your season start and end?
Work picks up in spring with clean ups and the first cuts, runs weekly through the growing season, and wraps with fall clean ups and weekly leaf removal once the leaves come down.
Do you handle fertilizing and weed control?
We do. A healthy lawn takes professional, timely applications of fertilizer and weed control, and our team also watches for insect problems during each visit and tells you if treatment is needed.
